For all patients, Dr. Scott assists in coordinating care with other members of the sports medicine team to include athletic trainers, physical therapists, personal physicians, other medical and surgical specialties, and other ancillary personnel of specialty care and rehabilitation.

He is a big believer that in order to be successful in treating student athletes, everyone must be on board.  This involves direct communication with athletic trainers, coaches, school administration, as well as athletes and their families.

Organized sports enrollment and participation often requires a pre-participation sports specific physical examination.  Dr. Scott performs these for all levels of sports activity, novice to professional.  Pre-participation physical examinations are not intended to replace regular medical care but are designed as a screening tool for the athlete to safely participate in the designated sport.
